From crafting delectable gelato to mastering the art of being a chocolatier, creating intricate cakes and irresistible cookies, as well as impressing with plated desserts, participants go above and beyond to claim the prestigious "Best of" title. With high stakes and exclusive recognition, this competition offers aspiring professionals and hobbyists the opportunity to solidify their position as the crème de la crème in the baking and pastry industry.

Registration fee is $75,per category, non-refundable
*By registering as an alternate, you gain the opportunity to participate in the competition if a registered competitor is unable to attend. Alternates will be promptly notified and will be charged the non-refundable registration fee only if they are requested to fill a vacant position
*Professional – 5+ years formal training, education, employment in pastry arts and earns income from working in the industry
*Student - less than 5 years of professional kitchen experience and currently enrolled in a culinary educational program

Bakers will create three viennoiserie items from scratch: croissants, brioche, and a gourmet cookie, with a personal choice of flavor and design. This includes a classic, signature chocolate, and artistic laminated croissant; a classic and filled signature brioche; and a gourmet cookie.

Welcome to the exciting competition where professionals and hobbyists come together to showcase their creativity in reinventing the tiered cake and tell a story through cake and other edible mediums.
Though the cake’s interior will be inedible, it should be representative of a cake that could be recreated in a bakery setting or professional kitchen and served at a large gathering.
Competitors will create their concept cakes ahead of time, off-site, according to the competition rules. Open to professional cake artists and hobbyists.
After registering, 10 professionals and 10 hobbyists will be chosen by invitation to craft and deliver their Concept Cakes. Upon drop off, each competitor will be assigned a display area and will add any finishing touches to their design and dress their display area. Competitors will be required to bring all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment needed to complete their displays.
Competitors will be allowed to bring one assistant to help with their setup. Space will be limited at each station, so competitors are expected to plan accordingly and in consideration of others setting up around them.
Judged by a select committee, Concept Cakes will be scored on the same day they are set out for display the concepts. They will remain on display throughout the conference where attendees will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite design for People's Choice. Welcome, gelato lovers and expert artisans alike, to the highly anticipated Gelato Competition! Today, we gather to celebrate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into creating the perfect scoop of gelato. Our talented competitors will have the chance to showcase their innovative flavors, impeccable presentation, and exquisite textures. Let the friendly rivalry begin as we immerse ourselves in a world of creamy delights and frozen delights.
In this live event, competitors will craft their gelato creations from scratch in the competition kitchens, with complete freedom to choose their flavors.
After registration, 6 competitors will be invited and tasked with producing, decorating, and displaying 3 pans of a single gelato flavor, 3 pans of a single flavor sorbet and 25 finished popsicles. Get ready to dive into a world of frozen delights and let your imagination run wild in this exciting competition category! leaving the remaining pans for the People's Choice award.
